About this event
Join us for a 6.5-mile bike ride along the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway from Owl's Head Park in Bay Ridge to the Coney Island Boardwalk - and Brooklyn Cyclones' Maimonides Park.
Option 1: Bike to the Ballgame! Purchase a ticket for $25 to ride along with us, drop your bike at the free Bike Valet Parking, and have a ticket waiting for you to attend the Cyclones - Dash ballgame at 2:00 PM.
Option 2: Bike, Beach, & Boardwalk - for Free! Meet up at the Owl’s Head festival and then ride along the Greenway with us (absolutely free, no purchase required). Drop your bike off at the free Bike Valet Parking and enjoy the beach, the boardwalk, and the summer afternoon!
11:30 AM: Starting Festival at Owl's Head Park
Join for the starting festival at Owl's Head Park in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn when event sponsors Infrastructure Engineering Inc. and Trek Bicycle are generously sponsoring a community bicycle giveaway to kids from the local community. Festival goers can take advantage of free bicycle services and orientation workshops from Trek as well as music, refreshments, and giveaways from event sponsors!
12:30 PM: Marshaled Bike Ride along the Greenway
Riders will depart Owl's Head Park along the Shore Parkway Greenway, featuring magnificent views of NY Harbor and the Verrazano Bridge. Riders will leisurely travel 6.5 miles along the the protected greenway through waterfront parks, accompanied by experienced ride marshals. Marshals will guide the group over the Cropsey Avenue bridge and through the streets of Coney Island to the iconic boardwalk and the Brooklyn Cyclones' Maimonides Park.
2:00 PM: Free Valet Bike Parking at Maimonides Park
Brooklyn Greenway Initiative is providing free valet bike parking at Maimonides Park for ride participants and members of the public who are sticking around to enjoy the ballgame - or the beach!
Option 1 - Paid ticket buyers can check in at the Free Bike Parking and continue into the Maimonides Park to watch the Brooklyn Cyclones take on the Winston-Salem Dash.
Option 2 - Anyone and everyone can leave their bike at the Free Bike Parking and head off to enjoy the beach, the boardwalk, and the summer afternoon!
Advance registration is not required for free tickets but is encouraged so we know you’re coming!
