Event Details

The "Bike the Bridge 2010" Bicycle Tour will be starting at Rivard Plaza in Detroit (near the Wheel House Bicycle Shop).  We will be departing early on Sunday, June 13, 2010 and riding over to the Ambassador Bridge as a group.  After riding across the Bridge, we will be stopping for a wonderful breakfast courtesy of Tres Beans Coffee House, then off to whichever adventure you choose.  Options are a tour of the Hiram Walker Distillery (it will be not operating on Sunday but we can tour anyway) and a presentation by Marty Gervais (http://web.mac.com/martygervaisis/Site/Marty_Gervais,_Writer.html), author of "The Rumrunners - a prohibition scrapbook".  Afterwards, this group will sojourn to the riverfront Carrousel of the Nations (www.themcc.com) festival to enjoy all the ethnicities representing Windsor.  The other choice, for those seeking miles, will be a distance ride lead by Todd Scott, director of Detroit Trails, of the Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance, for whom this ride is a fundraiser.  At 3 p.m. we are scheduled for return to Detroit, back to Rivard Plaza.  In addition to a great breakfast, you will be receiving a one-of-a-kind commemorative (and worth bragging rights) T-shirt.  Hope to see you there!
