How to get started:

1. Register on here on Eventbrite, make sure you read over the photo release and waiver of liability below.
2. Check your email within 24 hours, you'll receive a welcome package and hunt access code from Bike Bakersfield!
3. Download the Scavify app and enter in the access code
4. Complete tasks to win great prizes!

Rules:

• No nighttime participation
• Use your phone only when safe to do so!
• Riders 18 and under MUST wear a helmet AND be accompanied by an adult
• Follow the rules of the road by taking a look at Ride Prep and Safety Instructions

Release and Waiver of Liability (English)

Bike Bakersfield (Biking for Fun, Inc.) and Kern County, the staff, boards, and volunteers of each assume no liability of any injuries that may result from participating in the event, riding a bicycle, or damage to bicycles or equipment during the above described event.

Assumption of Risk: By registering for and/or participating in this event, the participant hereby acknowledges and agrees that they understand the nature and rules of the event; that participant is qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate therein; that there are certain inherent risks and dangers associated with the event; that participant has ensured their bike(s) is(are) suitable for the conditions of the route; and that they knowingly and voluntarily accept and assume responsibility for each of these risks and dangers, and all other risks and dangers that could arise out of, or occur during, participant’s participation in the event.

Release, Waiver, Covenant to Hold Harmless, Discharge, and Not To Sue: By registering for and/or participating in this event, the participant hereby agree to hold both Bike Bakersfield and Kern County, their board, staff, and volunteers, free from any and all liability, claims, actions, demands, expenses, attorney fees, breach of contract actions, breach of statutory duty or other duty of care, warranty, strict liability actions, and causes of action whatsoever, that have or may be acquired in the future, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me (or my child), or to any property belonging to me (or my child), while participating in Bike Bakersfield and/or Kern County events and programs including, but not limited to, any claim that the act or omission complained of was in whole or in part by the negligence or carelessness of the Releasees.

Photography Release and Permission: By registering for and/or participating in this event, the participant grants full permission to Bike Bakersfield and Kern County the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of my family and I, or in which I may be included, for editorial, trade, advertising, and any other purpose and in any manner and medium; and to alter and composite the same without restriction and without my inspection or approval. By registering for this event, I hereby release the photographer, Bike Bakersfield, Kern County, and their legal representatives and assigns from all claims and liability relating to said photographs.

Acknowledgment of Understanding: By registering for and/or participating in this event, I understand that I have read this assumption of risk, release and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement, and have had the opportunity to ask questions about the same. I fully understand this assumption of risk, release and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement, that I am giving up substantial rights in connection therewith, and that its terms are contractual, and not a mere recital. I acknowledge that I am electronically signing this agreement freely and voluntarily by registering for this event.
