Description

Did you know you could ride your bike on our Refuge trails? Join us for a Bike Ride Tour around Salt Pond A16! We will stop along the way to learn about the Refuge, the wildlife and habitats they use, the importance of Coyote Creek watershed, and the history of the area! We are partnering with Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful and other local organizations! The ride is 4.5miles on a level trail, and there is no shade along the way. Must provide your own bikes, gear, and water bottles. Helmets are required for children. Water and snacks will be provided at a stop. Children ages 10+ recommended, please use your best judgement on skill level for the distance. Reservations Recommended.

This free program is offered by the San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society, the 503(c) nonprofit Friends Group to the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge Complex, through the Watershed Watchers Program. This program is a partnership of the Santa Clara Valley Urban Runoff Pollution Prevention Program (SCVURPPP), the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society. The purpose of this program is to prevent urban runoff pollution and increase the surrounding communities’ knowledge of such pollution, and how to reduce its harmful effects through personal behavior.
