Event description

Description

This is the fourth in a series of spring semester workshops taught by a qualified mechanic at RGU's community bicycle workshop Bike Pad. We'll cover the most difficult parts of servicing a bike - how to remove and service pedals, cranks, bottom brackets (the part of the frame that helps you spin the pedals), stems and headsets. We'll explain how hub systems work and what to watch out for if you need to make any adjustments to those parts of your bike. You are welcome to bring your own bike to work on or let us know in advance and we'll prepare one for you.

This training is absolutely free to attend by anyone in the community and we will have tea/coffee & biscuits throughout the session. No prior experience is required and all necessary equipment and tools are provided. We can only accommodate up to 4 participants, but please get in touch with us if tickets run out, as we will be able to put you on a waiting list if a participant drops out.
