Frequently Asked Questions:
What does the tour include and how much is it? Ticket includes a guided bike tour with support staff, historical commentary, 1 pint of beer and Burger/fries or salad. Please note - "BYOB" - Bring Your Own Bike for this tour. No Bike Rentals are available for this tour.

Where should I park? Use the parking lot across from Atwater in the Park (rear parking lot - off Lakepointe St - directly behind the Brewery) - 1175 Lakepointe St. Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230. Atwater in the Park offers us a free paved parking lot that is safe & close! Parking is also available on the street. Please do not leave ANY valuables in your car during the bike tour or when we visit Atwater in the Park.

What time does the tour start and what if I am late? Since this is a guided group bike tour, we start right at 10am and goes to 1:30pm. Call the number listed on your ticket with any issues later than that.

How old do I have to be to attend an event? Since our tours will involve alcohol, we only offer our tours to adults aged 21 and over. Please bring your State Identification or driver's license to present to your tour guide upon arrival. Motor City Brew Tours follows all state of Michigan liquor/consumption laws.

How many tickets are available per bike tour? We limit the tickets to 20 per event. We feel this size of group is ideal for guided bike tours. This is a paid tour. The tour guides and staff are there to support the tour guests who paid for this experience.

How far do we bike and is it hard? This bike tour route is 10 miles, on flat paved road surfaces. We will ride on the road, bike lanes, sidewalks and bike paths. We will have a tour guide to set the pace up front (8-10 MPH) and a person in back to make sure we all stay together. We ride a relaxing pace to help you learn about the history in Detroit, soak in the scenery and enjoy time with friends!

What is the company policy regarding cancellations for Bike Tours: Reservation Fees received by Motor City Brew Tours for any tours or special charity events are non-refundable and can not be transferred to another event. If you are unable to attend an event, tour tickets can always be transferred to another guest. They just give the registered name at the event check in. Although very rare, Motor City Brew Tours reserves the right to cancel events for safety concerns such as high winds, thunderstorms, excessive heat or cold, or other severe conditions. In the event of such a cancellation, you may either reschedule or request a full refund. We ride in cold, hot or even rainy weather!

What steps are taken to ensure rider safety? We avoid automobile traffic when possible. Each tour begins with a safety and bike usage talk. Your tour guides are trained to perform basic bike care, but please bring bikes that are ready to ride. Mountain, comfort or road bikes are fine for this bike tour route. For your safety, helmets are strongly recommended for all of our tours.

What should I bring with me on the bike tour? Bike in good working condition, helmet, water, bike lock, identification, cell phone, a little money for other purchases, tire pump and a spare bike tube. The tour guide will have a bike pump with him/her as well. Please wear seasonally appropriate clothing, sunblock, rain gear (if needed) and don’t forget your camera! We will have plenty of picture taking opportunities.

We will email you back the ticket! If you owe a little more money less the gift certificate, we will email you a online invoice to pay the ticket price difference.
