Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Wilson's disease is a rare genetic disorder that leads to copper poisoning in the body, resulting in liver and neurologic disease. Untreated, it is fatal. However, if diagnosed and treated early, people with Wilson's disease can lead normal productive lives! Scroll down to read our story about how Wilson's disease has affected our life.

We will meet at the main pavilion and begin walking shortly after 9:00.

There is a 1 mile paved walking trail around the park. Participants can jog or walk the path at their own pace as many times as they wish.

We will provide water and snacks for the walk. Everyone is invited to stays afterwards for fellowship and a family-style picnic lunch.

There is also a playground and stocked fishing pond for participants to enjoy.

Feel free to bring your dogs (must be on leashes).

Handicap accessible: yes

Public Restrooms available: Yes

Our event will be held rain or shine.

Can't attend, but still want to help? There is a option for that, too! Simply click the green "Tickets" link at the top of the page. You now have 4 donation options (in addition to the regular event registration option), either choose "Donation" to make a direct donation or "You want a shirt but can't attend", "You want a shirt for a child that cannot attend", and/or "You want to order a dog bandana" for a doggy that cannot attend.
