Description

BIG Time - How do you know when you've truly succeeded? The answer is when the Baltimore Improv Group invites you to have your life memorialized in a series of made up, totally unprepared comedy scenes celebrating you! Come join a hand picked cast of BIG's best improvisers as they comedically revere some of Baltimore's most important movers and shakers.

Courtney Cass is the executive director of Teach for America, Baltimore.

Courtney started her TFA career as a 2000 corps member in New York City, where she taught second grade for three years, ran an after school story telling program, and was named second grade lead teacher in her third year. She then went to law school, where she co-founded and led a student organization called Child Advocacy, Research & Education, worked for the legal aid program JustChildren, and was awarded the Family Law Book Award at graduation.

Following law school, Courtney moved to Baltimore to clerk for United States District Court Judge J. Frederick Motz. She then joined the TFA Baltimore regional team as the managing director of development, where she helped drive the region’s growth strategy and development efforts. She transitioned into the executive director role in July 2010. She now leads 1,100 corps members and alumni in Baltimore who are making change for students.
