The team representing the Big Ten in the Rose Bowl will be known on Saturday, December 1st after the Big Ten Championship game. The Granddaddy Of Them All Rose Bowl game will be played on New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Our annual Queen's Luncheon will be held at the historic Valley Hunt Club in Pasadena on Tuesday, December 18th. You will have an opportunity to meet Tournament officials and the Rose Bowl Queen and her Court along with enjoy a first class lunch and program.
Thanks to our long-standing relationship that we enjoy with the Tournament of Roses we are delighted to once again be able to offer our members the opportunity to apply to purchase great Rose Bowl tickets. This year we are doing online ordering.
As always, the Football Ticket Committee will distribute tickets via the priority order set forth in the Club’s procedure manual (i.e., officers, directors and associate directors, past presidents, participating members, life members, general dues paying members, etc.) This distribution meeting will take place on Dec 8th. The Big Ten Club has been able to accommodate ALL member requests for at least 2 tickets for the past 10 years and often granted members more than 2 tickets. In the event you are not awarded tickets, we will credit your account within 7 days.
Note the use of these tickets is a privilege extended to us by the Tournament of Roses and are for our members and absolutely not to be scalped. A violation of this policy will result in the membership being revoked along with seriously jeopardizing the Club being able to access tickets in the future.
The Tournament has mandated that tickets be sent with tracking numbers so they will be sent via FedEx. Please note that Post Office box addresses are not acceptable. Unless requested without, signature verification for delivery is required. To be safe, we suggest that, if possible, you have the tickets sent to a work address. Please mark on the application whether it’s a business or residential address and if you will waive the signature requirement.
We look forward to seeing you at the exclusive Queen’s Luncheon on Tuesday, December 18 at the Valley Hunt Club in Pasadena. Note the dress code for lunch is formal – jacket required – no cell phones.
Best wishes for the holidays and Go Big Ten!
