This workshop is for Region XI Chapter Presidents, Chapter Communications Chairs or Chapter Regional Reps. This training is suitable for beginners as well as those who already have some experience with web development. This workshop is a hands on, interactive and step by step process to create your chapter website in a single day!

The benefits you will gain from this hands on interactive workshop include:

The knowledge and tools to create your own chapter website

Full control over your chapter website to make website updates from any computer

Ability to add online payment options, Facebook and Twitter feed as well as social share buttons.

Reserve Your Seat - max 2 seats per chapter, each person must register seperately, by March 31, 2017

This hands on workshop will not only teach you how to create your own chapter website, but will guide you through creating your first website, so you finish the day with a a fully functional website. It is encouraged that two chapter members attend (i.e. RXI Chapter Presidents, Chapter Communications Chairs or Chapter Regional Reps), one to take notes and one to design. The members can rotate roles during the workshop. Once you have reserved your seats, you will be contacted by phone to set up your account and walk through the checklist.

NOTE: Workshop immediately following the regular regional monthly meeting.

What do you get?

You walk in with nothing, and leave at the end of the day with a fully functioning website (that you have created yourself).

Prior to workshop step by step assistance in setting up account including obtaining website security, hosting and a domain name ( you get to choose it!!), Note: Cost will be based on demand of name and website customization. Chapters should budget $15 monthly/ $200 annually for website security, hosting and domain name. You may start with just website hosting and domain for the first year as low as $12 annually. However, it is encouraged you obtain website security if you will be collecting information on your website.

Checklist/What you need to bring

Government ID

Fully charged Laptop with Firefox or Safari internet installed.

Your own internet access, such as a hotspot, usually provided by your smartphone plan

Saved to this same laptop, a write up of Home Page and About Page and Images you would like to use. It is recommended you create a folder called "Chapter Website" and store all website related information.
