Make a promise to yourself to laugh more.
Put some joy and fun in every week with an improv class!
Improv isn't just for comedians.
In fact, taking a professional improv comedy class is a fun, exciting, and engaging way to develop quicker reflexes, build self-confidence, foster creativity, and increase spontaneity. Don't believe us, the Huffington Post recommends it!
Big Canvas truly believes that the skills you learn in an improv comedy class will make you a more authentic, happier version of yourself. In Level One: Intro to Improv, Big Canvas instructors will explore the basics of comedy improvisation: team-building, trust, speed, status, active listening, and agreement. Students learn to be fearless and have fun on stage.
This class meets once a week for eight weeks (1/4 to 2/22). While enrolled in class, students are encouraged to attend Big Canvas shows for free. The class ends in an optional student show. (Friday 2/24 at 7:00 PM)
Class begins Wednesday, January 4th from 7-9 PM.
This class will be lead by Eric Green.
Eric's teaching philosophy: "As a teacher I want you to have fun. I also you to take something away, either immediately or eventually, each time i teach. If I am doing my job I am taking something from you. Improv should always be fun, but it should never become easy enough that it no longer challenges. The part of improv I enjoy most is that anyone can do it, but if you want to do it well it does take focus."
