On October 19, 1896, Mitchel and Moe Mark of Buffalo, NY opened the world's first purpose-built, permanent motion picture theater: The Edison Vitascope Theater.
It was constructed in the basement of the Ellicott Square Building and the location as well as artifacts from the theater have been found.
Come celebrate the 115th Birthday of this important theater! There will be history talks, Q&A and Birthday Cake.
Bring your camera, your curiosity and sing Happy Birthday!
There will be copies of the signed, limited-edition poster from the 112th Birthday Party.
This is a FREE event. Donations gratefully accepted.
