Bicycle Trip and BeFit Spin Classes
Bicycle Trip and BeFit Spin Class is the perfect opportunity to become a better cyclist and make new friends. You’ll work on new skills and exercise intensities; you’ll learn cutting-edge information about “zones”, “periodization” as well as proper pedaling technique, hydration and recovery, all in the safe and judgment free environment of the Bicycle Trip, Santa Cruz.
Participants will also be eligible for special spin class only deals on equipment, nutrition products and BeFit Consultants fitness testing services.
Whether you are a beginner or seasoned expert, we guarantee to help you increase your cycling IQ. Come join us for one of our 6 fitness building indoor cycling sessions beginning this February 22, at Bicycle Trip in Santa Cruz.
Who; all levels of cyclists are welcome - beginner through expert
What; a 6 week block of classes - you can save by booking all six or book them individually (to book the 6 week block, you'll need to book each/every class, individually)
When; every Wednesday through March beginning Wednesday, February 22 (2/22/17, 3/1/17, 3/8/17, 3/15/17, 3/22/17, 3/29/17).
What time; arrive around 6pm to set-up - class runs 6:15-7:30pm

How Many; we’ll train up to 18 Spinners each Wednesday - first booked - first served!
Speaking of first booked; the first 12 Spinners to book a class or classes by Sunday, February 12 will earn an invitation to our Prologue Spin Class on Wednesday, February 15. The cost is the same ($20) but each Spinner will receive a free Blackburn Sweat Net and a free Bicycle Trip custom waterbottle with art by our very own Campbell Steers.
How Much; $20 each class or $110 for all 6 - Dave Liotta will collect payment at Bicycle Trip
How to Book; with Eventrbrite! Each class is a unique event so please take time to register for each/every class you will be attending. Remember, you’ll pay Dave @ Bicycle Trip the night of the Spin Class - those folks booking all 6 classes will pay $110 in full the first class, covering the balance of the classes.
Equipment requirements; each Spinner will need the following equipment; bicycle in good working order, stationary bike trainer, front wheel block to level the bike, cycling clothing, a hand towel to absorb sweat during the workout, a mat or towel to place on the floor under the bike to absorb sweat during the workout. Between Dave and the Bicycle Trip, we’ve a number of trainers to loan to Spinners - numbers are limited - please leave a note when you RSVP in Eventbrite, or email firstname.lastname@example.org, if you’ll need to borrow a trainer. As well, we’ve prepared special Spin Class pricing on equipment to support you and your indoor training effort - please consider the table below and contact Sales Staff at Bicycle Trip to coordinate your purchase; they are happy to help you explore your trainer options - discover which trainer is most advantageous for you/your bicycle (831 427 2580).

Spin Class Curriculum;
Week 1: The basics: What can zones do for you? Equipment, pedaling technique and indoor cycling tricks. Recovery. Hydration.
Week 2: Working on position and breathing. Intro to power. Technology options.
Week 3: The 3 variables of indoor cycling workouts; frequency, intensity and duration. Climbing and strength work.
Week 4: Real interval training. Feel the burn and melt away fat.
Week 5: Performance intervals; how to always finish your ride happy. Intro to off the bike exercises for performance and injury prevention.
Week 6: Bringing it all together. Keeping your fitness.
Dave Liotta is the owner/operator of BeFit Consultants which provides training plans and performance testing services for beginner through professional endurance athletes.
