Nothing is worse that being 10 miles from home and suddenly your bike has some problem. Whether it is a flat tire, brakes rubbing, gears clicking, or handlebars rotating; every problem becomes larger when you are out on the trail with limited or no tools. We will walk through the basic adjustments and repairs that you can do on the trail, as well as the tools everyone should carry with them.
This class will take place at the Trek Bicycle Store of Schererville and will be presented by an experienced rider who has had plenty of experience repairing bikes on the side of the road.
The $5 registration will cover the 60-minute class walking you through all of the minor repairs that you can take care of out on a ride. You are welcome to bring your bike along and try out some of the repairs we'll be demonstrating.
This class is a perfect compliment to "Preventative Maintenance" where you learn to diagnose the noises your bike makes and avoid potential problems with proper maintenance.
*Please note that there are hundreds of types of bicycles out there, and while we will attempt to cover all variations and types, be sure you come with your own specific questions about your bicycle so we can be sure you get the most out of this class.
If you have a class that you want to see University of Trek - Schererville put on, please feel free to contact us and we will see about adding it to our rotation.
