What noises are your bikes suppose to make? Which ones can you fix yourself? How can you tell the difference? These are all questions that are addressed in this clinic. Doing your own maintenance at home can be easy and doesn't require mountains of tools. In this class you will be walked through the check list our mechanics use to diagnose every bike that comes into our store. We will also cover the basic maintenance that you can do at home that will keep your bike happier, quieter and running longer.
This class will take place at the Trek Bicycle Store of Schererville and will be presented by our lead mechanic who has been at the bike fixin' game for nearly a decade.
The $5 registration covers the 60-minute class where you will dive into the diagnosing of a bicycle, as well as learn the basic mainenance bicycles require, plus you will be gifted with a small bottle of chain lube to help your bike quiet and smooth.
This class will NOT teach how to fix all aspects of bicycles, rather diagnose the root cause of common problems. Be sure to check out "Trailside Repairs" for a more hands-on, basic repair class.
*While we will be covering all aspects of the bicycle in the clinic, but please understand that there is variety in the biking world so not all shifting systems, braking systems or even handlebar set ups are the same. Come with your specific questions so we can ensure you get the most out of the class.
If you have a class that you want to see University of Trek - Schererville put on, please feel free to contact us and we will see about adding it to our rotation.
