DRIVING YOUR BUSINESS GROWTH IN THE NEW DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM

There has never been a more exciting time for the mobile industry. We are standing on the threshold of a new era of connectivity as the Internet of Things gradually becomes a reality with global enterprises leading the way. Mobile networks have the opportunity to provide the backbone of the new digital economy, but the road ahead presents many challenges.

The BICS Mobility in Action event will offer insights that equip your organisation to profitably engage with the new digital ecosystem, while improving monetisation of your existing businesses and assets.

Join your BICS Team and friends from across the industry for two days of discussion and networking around these key topics of interest, connecting with industry experts, innovation masters and industry peers.

This year's theme addresses the advent of the Digital Era. Agenda Day 2, Thursday 27th Sep

Track 1: Monetizing the Digital Economy

By thinking strategically and looking beyond traditional revenue streams, mobile operators create new revenue avenues from their infrastructure and intelligence. The digital economy, powered by data, presents new opportunities for mobile operators to scale revenues and monetise their assets by enabling improved customer engagement, as well as authentication and verification services that keep digital platforms and subscribers free from fraud and scams. However there are complex infrastructure and compliance issues to consider.

This track will explore how operators can generate and improve revenues through messaging, authentication and transaction security.

Track 2: Maximising your Enterprise Business

Global enterprise services are driving a step-change in operators’ business models. Whether it is enabling connected devices and services, supporting seamless Unified Communications, supporting Omnichannel, or helping enterprises migrate to the cloud, digitalisation of business driven by new technologies presents numerous avenues for operators.

In this track, attendees can find out how mobile networks can meet enterprise-driven demand for bandwidth-heavy services, high-definition multimedia communications and cost efficient network operations and IoT connectivity.

Track 3: Protecting your Revenues from Fraud Threats

A proactive approach is needed to win the fight against fraud, which costs the industry $29.2 billion each year. In May this year the ITW Global Leaders’ Forum announced an industry-wide Code of Conduct to tackle the issue. Rapid growth in roaming and international data makes the industry increasingly vulnerable to criminals; while the Internet of Things is an attractive prospect for hackers looking to profit from sensitive personal and business data.

This track will enable attendees learn more about the latest developments in international telecoms fraud and discover the latest proactive multi-network approaches for effective protection against international voice, messaging and signalling fraud.
