Description

All around the world, Baha’is are celebrating the 200th birthday of the Founder of the Baha’i Faith, Baha’u’llah, which means “Glory of the Lord” in Persian. He was born in 1817.

Free event in the West Valley, open to the public. The West Valley Baha’i community is having an Inter-Faith celebration on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Rio Vista Recreation Center in their beautiful Lakeview Room, 8866 W Thunderbird, Peoria. Doors open at 6:30 pm, program begins at 7:00 pm.

All religions are welcome to attend. The theme is “Building Unity One Heart at a Time.” The essence of Baha’u’llah’s teachings is Unity. Baha’is believe all major religions are the same universal religion, revealed by God like successive chapters in the same book.

Speakers include the Red Cross, Inter-Faith Counsel representative, and a welcome by Peoria’s Vice-Mayor. There will be a choir singing, a dance group performing, and the history of the Baha’i Faith explored. Business casual dress. No registration needed, just show up and bring family and friends. Come and help us be a part of the solution for mankind.
