BFF Holiday Celebration at SPIN NY
Event Information
About this Event
We stand with cyclists of New York and around the world.
This year we have lost 28 cyclists in our city of New York to traffic violence. We should be focusing on actions to make sure there is not another death.
Cycling is healthy for those who ride, the city and our planet. In a time of a worldwide climate emergency we should be encouraging cycling as transport and recreation.
Cycling is a viable answer to the daunting global ecological crisis.

BICYCLE FILM FESTIVAL IS AN INTERNATIONAL PHENOMENON
BFF is an art and cultural organization promoting sustainability. In 2001 Brendt Barbur started the Bicycle Film Festival as a platform to celebrate the bicycle and sustainability through music, art and, of course, film.
The Bicycle Film Festival has been a major catalyst for the urban bike movement in the last couple of decades.
The BFF has held events in 90 cities worldwide to an accumulated audience of over 1 million people. The Bicycle Film Festival has an incredible history of working with the most important brands, artists, filmmakers and venues around the world.
SPIN
Franck Raharinosy Co founder of Spin would love to share his love for cycling through this event. Let’s bring people together to express the importance of highlighting cycling as a contributing solution for our cities to be more sustainable by presenting the BFF Holiday Celebration.
In 2007, two best friends Jonathan Bricklin and Franck Raharinosy had a crazy idea—to get so good at ping pong that they could compete in the Olympics. So, they did what any future Olympian would obviously do—throw a party! The parties drew in an eccentric range of people from all walks of life, including Jimmy Buffett, Owen Wilson, Marty Reisman, 50 Cent and Salman Rushdie. The diversity of the crowd fueled the fun and vibrant energy that remains the essence of SPIN today.
Bicycle Film Festival is proud to work with a venue that became single use plastic free across all venues. That means no more straws in order to take a stand and save our ocean health.
This Holiday Celebration is made possible with the support of Spin, CLIF Bar, Rapha and Transportation Alternatives.
