Whether Open Government, or Government 2.0, the ideas have been discussed over and over, yet for many it feels as if little progress is being made. Join us and some special guests to have a dynamic discussion on where things stand, where they need to go, and how they might get there.
Nicholas Charney and Jesse Hirsh of Metaviews.ca invite you to join us to move beyond the basic and step up to the next level of public discourse.
5:30 - 7pm - Facilitated Dinner Conversation
Each table will have a host who will engage the table in a group discussion on the subject. Food will be provided.
7pm - 8:30pm - Animated Public Debate and Discussion
We’ll convene as a group (with people unable to attend dinner) and engage in debate on the subject, drawing out the issues of contention, disagreement, and insight. The goal is to reach new threads and positions that are otherwise not being addressed elsewhere (at least not enough).
With special guests including:
Ian Capstick (mediastyle.ca)
Colin McKay (Google)
Ashley Casovan (City of Edmonton)
Robert Giggey (City of Ottawa)
