This is a one-day data-driven conference for:
Community Members and Civic Organizations with interest in the Health and Well-Being of Orange County Youth
Local, State, and Federal Representatives
Employers and Human Resource Specialists
Health Care, Mental Health, and Social Service Organizations and Employees
Faith-Based Community Members
Provide an opportunity for participants to learn more about:
• Why, and how, a grassroots movement to prevent ACEs and promote resilience has evolved in Orange County, and the road ahead
• The state of the child in Orange County
• How Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) impact brain development, adult health, and social outcomes
• Why the community needs to be concerned about the ACE scores reported by 7th through 12th-grade students at Orleans, Paoli, and Springs Valley
• How ACEs impact adult worker performance
• The value of creating a trauma-informed workplace
• Large and small businesses are making a difference by adopting policies and practices that reduce household violence and child maltreatment.
• Learn how & why community leaders make a difference in the lives of our youth.
