Join Holyrad Studio and The Centre For Social Innovation for our inaugural salon series; Beyond Branding: Storytelling and Social Impact

About this Event

Join Holyrad Studio and The Centre For Social Innovation for our inaugural salon series; Beyond Branding: Storytelling and Social Impact. In this intimate discussion we will explore the “doing good vs. doing business” dichotomy that permeates our culture, and especially the world of activism / social entrepreneurship. This guided conversation will include artists, activists, marketing professionals and social entrepreneurs who are interested in understanding branding as storytelling and revenue as a neutral tool to expand our ideas and innovations.

HOSTS

Holyrad Studio is a social enterprise revolutionizing freelance culture by providing affordable access to spaces, equipment, and programming through a unique Membership Model. We provide professional content creation and business development with a direct plug to our network of emerging entrepreneurs. Our proven success in production, creative ideation, and storytelling is grounded in our expertise in the gig economy. We pride ourselves on being a certified women and minority owned business, and celebrate diversity in all aspects of our work.

THE CENTRE FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION

The Centre For Social Innovation is a co-working space, community, and launchpad for people who are changing the world. We provide our members with the tools they need to accelerate their success and amplify their impact. Together, we’re building a movement of nonprofits, for-profits, entrepreneurs, artists and activists working across sectors to create a better world. We believe that society is facing unprecedented economic, environmental, social and cultural challenges. We also believe that new innovations are the key to turning these challenges into opportunities to improve our communities and our planet.

DISCUSSION LEADERS

Daryl Oh

Daryl Oh is a photographer and entrepreneur who left a successful career in fast-fashion to pursue her dream as a freelance photographer. In the pursuit of her personal fulfillment, she encountered a systemic problem; options for creatives, like herself, to work outside of corporate structures are few and far between. Recognizing that communal resources make alternatives paths to success attainable, she founded Holyrad Studio; a social enterprise revolutionizing freelance culture by providing affordable access to spaces, equipment, and programming through a unique Membership Model.

Allegra Gilfenbaum

Allegra is a musician, performer and community builder with years of professional experience at both funded start-ups and non-profit organizations. Her passion for Vocal Performance and Human Rights has led her to use the arts as a lens to explore culture, history and her community. Alongside pursuing a career as a singer/songwriter she is the Community Animator at The Centre For Social innovation where she brings people together to reimagine solutions for some of our most complex societal challenges.
