Event description

Description

Go beyond the basics with this hands-on class. This class will deal with summer and early fall hive management. As the honey flow ends the colony changes its behavior, strategy and internal make up. We'll cover honey harvest, disease recognition, nutrition, colony health assessment and wintering. We'll inspect several hives to compare how each one is doing and determine what each one needs going forward. A detailed email of what to bring or what will be available to borrow will be sent within a week of the class. This class is weather dependent, so the rain date for this class is set for Sunday July 21, 2019 from 11am-1pm.

Cancellation Policy: If you find this class date no longer works for you, we will gladly refund your money if it is more than two weeks prior to the class date. If it is within two weeks, we can either move your registration to a different class date or you can use the money as a credit towards another class offering before the end of our fiscal year (June 30).
