Description

Q&A led by Isabelle Vanderschelden (Manchester Metropolitan University)

FREE

Also known as Homeland, this is the story of Farid, a law student in France who is forced to travel for the first time to Algeria, his father’s homeland. This will be a voyage of discovery, of family reunions and reflection on personal sacrifice. This is a movie with a fine balance between humour and gravity.

A reverse immigrant comedy – drama that’s enjoyable if tonally somewhat heterogeneous” © The Hollywood Reporter

This screening is part of the Beyond Babel Film Festival, which will also feature screenings of English Vinglish and El futuro perfecto.
