Our Conference Speaker will be Rev. Melissa Cooper from the Florida Annual Conference. One great thing about Melissa is that her Intergenerational approach to church is current, exciting, relevant and very doable for both large and small churches.
Rev. Melissa Cooper is an ordained United Methodist deacon. Melissa is the Program Coordinator for the Life Enrichment Center, a United Methodist retreat and conference center in Fruitland Park, FL, and the director of LECFamily, a ministry that includes intergenerational retreats and camps, resources for families and churches, as well as training and workshops for local churches and leaders.
She has a passion for the present and future of the Church and loves helping equip churches to expand and strengthen their ministries, especially around building intergenerational culture.
She regularly works with churches around the country to develop intergenerational culture, and has spoken at numerous local, regional and national events on the subject of intergenerational ministry and cross-generational faith formation.
She is married to Will and they have two adorable four-legged children.
We will also be doing our curriculum exchange so if you have some left over material...bring it so it can be used in another's church.
The Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church will offer 1.0 CEUs to those who do the entire conference.
Housing will be on a first come, first serve basis in Mount Sequoyah's cottage (hotel style) rooms and then in the historic Wesley Hall.
