Highlighting a collection of popular and relevant writings from the Crunk Feminist Collective’s hugely popular website, editors of The Crunk Feminist Collection, scholars Brittney C. Cooper, Susana M. Morris, and Robin M. Boylorn, will engage in a spirited conversation, where pop culture and politics intersect with race and gender. Shani Jamila will moderate the conversation.
Shani Jamila is an artist, cultural worker and Fulbright scholar with over a decade of leadership in designing and executing innovative programs that use the arts to catalyze social change. She is a 2016 TED Resident and a managing director of the Urban Justice Center in New York City.

FIRST COME, FIRST SEATED
For free events, we generally overbook to ensure a full house. All registered seats are released 15 to 30 minutes before start time, so we recommend that you arrive early.
Please note that holding seats in the Langston Hughes Auditorium is strictly prohibited and there is no food or drinks allowed anywhere in the Schomburg Center.
