Between scandinavia and the Israeli kibbutz: Transnational Intersects of Gender, Ethnicity and Status

In this lecture Yael wishes to portrait the historical story of Scandinavian non-Jewish volunteers in the Israeli kibbutzim.
Starting with 1962, Yael will describe the Israeli social field before the arrival of the volunteers.
Yael will explain how the massive social interactions with non-Jews established macro political institutions, ideological challenges and ethnicity debate in Israel.
We will in the secound part of the lecture have a debat on the transnational intersects inside mixed families composed of ex volunteers and Israelis.
