Event description
Women in Film Cincinnati hosts the Better Cities Film Festival at Hollywood Drive-In, the best films on making cities better. Films@ 8 pm!

About this Event

You'll see 18 short films screening over two nights, from the Better Cities Film Festival library. WIF Cincinnati selected films for their relevance to urban issues we face here -- making Cincinnati more bike and pedestrian friendly, increasing affordable housing, minority entrepreneurship, racial equity, and building sustainably.

You can buy a walk-in/bike-in ticket for $10, BYO chair/blanket and FM radio to tune into the cinema sound. Or, drive in with friends & familiy for $25/car. Hollywood Drive In only accomodates 40 vehicles, so buy before we sell out!

Female filmmakers are featured for the first 8 films on September 26. On Oct. 3, our anchor film is by a local female filmmaker. Highlighting women working in our region's Film/TV/Digital industry is an important aspect of WIF CIncinnati's mission.

Thank You to our Sponsors: Haile Foundation, MVAH Partners, First Financial Bank, Reser Bicycle Outfitters, Queen City Bike, Urban Land Institute Cincinnati, Green Umbrella, The Port's HURC, Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance, Cincinnati Development Fund, Cincinnati Recreation Commission and Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority.

Nothing is more inspiring than a powerful story! So, we will engage in post-film discussion led by Cincinnati City Councilmembers, from10-11 pm at Brink Brewing, across the street from Hollywood Drive In. Greg Landsman leads on Sep 26 and Jan-Michele Kearney leads on Oct. 3.

We have celebrity emcees to help WIF raffle off wonderful prizes. WCPO-TV CH 9's Cincy Lifestyles Anchor Mona Morrow is our emcee Sep. 26 and our emcee Oct 3 is WKRC-TV Local 12 Anchor Kyle Inskeep.

Raffle prizes include a basket of delicious chocolates, a Reels on Wheels mobile cinema, private yoga lessons, pet portraits, fine art, gift certificates and more (see photos and list of raffle items below).

Raffle tickets are $8, for sale here and at the event. On movie night you'll drop your raffle ticket(s) into the prize basket(s) that you hope to win.

Women in Film Cincinnati members receive a free raffle ticket! If you'd like to join our organization, we'd love to have you, so join before you come to film festival. WIFCincinnati.
