Each October, the streets of Bethesda Row are transformed into an outdoor art gallery of spectacular fine arts. More than 695,000 people have enjoyed the Bethesda Row Arts Festival in the heart of Bethesda’s designated Arts & Entertainment District since it began in 1997. The Bethesda Row Arts Festival draws 45,000 patrons in one weekend from upper NW, Chevy Chase, Bethesda, Potomac and the Capital Area region.
The Festival features the work of 190 leading artists from around the country. On display will be the finest in: ceramics, drawings, fiber, glass, graphics, jewelry, metalwork, paintings, photography, sculpture and wood.
The Festival is recognized as one of the top 50 fine art shows in the United States and the event will benefit the NIH Children’s Charities. Through children’s activities and an art sale, the Festival raises funds for the Children’s Inn at NIH, Camp Fantastic Love/Special Love and the Friends of the Clinical Center at NIH.
