Every year Bethel Church has the privledge of hosting those in need at a classy Holiday Feast held in the Bethel Sanctuary. Guests will experience fine dinning and live entertainment as Jesus is revealed as the true Gift of God. Help lead our guests in to a life changing encounter with the love and power of God through this event!

-All-Volunteer Meeting - Thursday, December 1st at 7:00pm - Bethel Sanctuary

-Holiday Feast – Saturday, December 10th – Your Volunteer Shift Times

(Children 12 and under must serve with their parents. Must be 18 and older for Bus Pastor, Bus Location Pastor, or Guest Check in)

~ DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTIONS ~


TABLE HOSTS:

Overseer: Susie Thompson

Volunteers needed: 65

Time: December 10th. 11:00am-4:00pm

Your Role: You will provide the guests at your table with a welcoming and comfortable dining experience.

Note: Due to limited seating, we request no more than one host per table. We will make every effort to position you and your spouse at neighboring tables if you both choose to serve.

- You must provide the place settings, including plates, glasses, flatware, paper napkins, and serving utensils. Please bring a Rubbermaid tub and trash bag so that you can easily take your dirty dishes home.

Please bring:

  • Holiday themed tablecloth

  • Small gifts or candy to be placed at each setting (optional)

  • Centerpiece and decorations

- You will be responsible for dinner service for 7 guests, plus yourself. If you want to serve as a host but do not have dinnerware we have dishes we can provide.


BEVERAGE SERVERS:

Dress code: Black pants, white shirt or blouse, close toed, low heeled shoes

Your Role: You will join a team and prepare and serve beverages to our guests. This team will partner with the meal servers to make sure guests are served in a timely, peaceful and delightful manner.


BIBLE GIVEAWAY/MINISTRY TEAM:

Overseers: Grace Cazeneau

Time: Dec. 10, 12:00pm-4:00pm

Your Role: You will help distribute Bibles and booklets to new believers at the event after the meal during ministry time.


BUS PASTORS:

Time: Dec. 10, 9:00am-1:00pm

Your role: You will be visiting and ministering with the guests on board buses as well as have a presence at the bus stops so guest know where to be picked up.


CHILDREN’S STOCKING PREP/GIVEAWAY:

Dress code: Fun, happy & Christmas themed colors. Feel free to dress up like an elf!

Your Role: You will help give Christmas stockings away to children, ages 3 – 12 years old.


CLEAN UP CREW:

Overseers: Nathan/Bethel Staff

Time: December 10th, 3-8pm

Your Role: You will be assisting with getting the entire church ready for Sunday morning services. Cleaning carpets, bathrooms, resetting rooms with chairs, etc.


DECORATIONS:

Your Role: You will assist the overseer in creating table centerpieces and other decor for the event.


DISHES CREW:

Your Role: You will be washing, drying, and putting away the dishes at Bethel.


GREETERS/STOCKING GIVEAWAY:

Time: December 10th, 10:30am-4:00pm at Bethel

Your Role: You will be welcoming and greeting all of the guests. You will be available for ministry to the guests as they arrive, and also help giveaway stockings during the meal.


GUEST CHECK-IN:

Your Role: You will be checking in guests as they arrive at Bethel.


HOSPITALITY:

Your Role: You will be a part of a team who will welcome the Holiday Feast guests, help maintain hospitality cart with cookies and beverage, and be able to answer questions of guests.


KITCHEN:

Time: Shifts vary during week prior to event

Dress code: Dress comfortably, and wear closed toe shoes, for safety reasons.

Your Role: You will be a part of a kitchen crew led by the Bethel Kitchen manager. Job includes food prep, plating, clean up, and other tasks as requested. Must be 18 yrs. or older and must do well taking direction. Food prep experience is beneficial.


LOGISTICS

Your Role: Help Logistics team create lines and signage. Help solve problems.


MEAL SERVERS:

MISCELLANEOUS:

Your Role: Your overseer will contact you with info about your role before and during the event.


SANTA'S ELVE'S:

Dress code: Fun, happy & Christmas themed colors. Feel free to dress up like an elf. You are Santa’s helpers after all!

Your Role: You will assist the photographer with all things pertaining to a photo shoot – placing kids and families with Santa, printing and packaging photos, and managing the kids in line.


SEATING HOSTS:

Your Role: You will be seating guests, and helping them feel welcome as you show them to their seat.


SET UP CREW:

Your Role: You will be working with a team, setting up tables & chairs etc, Friday before the event.


TABLE BUSSING CREW:

Dress code: Dress comfortably, and keep in mind that you may get a little messy clearing tables.

Your Role: You will assist the servers and dishes crew by helping bus the tables after the meal is served and guests dismissed.


BUS STOP LOCATION PASTOR:

Time: December 10th, 9:00am-12:30pm

Your role: You will be the point person at your designated bus stop, where people will be picked up to then be taken to Bethel. You will be staying in contact with the bus drivers and bus pastors. You will be responsible for communicating expectations, and approximate pick-up times to the guests.


TUB HAULING CREW:

Time: December 10th, 9:30am-12:00pm at Bethel

Dress code: Dress comfortably, as you will be moving and lifting.

Your Role: You will assist the table hosts by carrying their dishes and décor into the sanctuary prior to and after each meal. Must be able to do heavy lifting.


VOLUNTEER MEAL:

Your Role: You will be assisting your overseers to prepare a meal for all volunteers on the day of the event.

Your Role: You will be checking in volunteers as they arrive, giving them nametags, and checking their personal items into the Coat Check.


ARTS TEAM:

Your Role: You will assist the Arts Team in putting on different aspects of the event.
