Event description
Best Practices for Voice User Interface Design

About this Event

Voice user interfaces (VUIs) are fast becoming a familiar way of interacting with our world. From smart speakers to vehicles to home appliances, designers have a myriad of new design opportunities ahead – but our GUI sensibilities haven’t necessarily prepared us for VUI design.

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll show you how to think critically about voice interface scenarios, apply the art of conversation to digital products, and equip you with technical insight to develop the sensibilities you’ll need in your transition to VUI design.

What You Will Do

Through a dynamic mix of presentations and hands-on activities, the workshop will guide you through the fundamentals of voice interface design with exercises and then empower you to apply those methods in group workshopping activities.

Who Should Attend

Mobile/web product designers, students, and any digital product makers interested in adding voice UI to their toolbox.
