Event description
Bellhops marketing and content experts share how the kindness of a coworker went from heartwarming story to national news.

About this Event

When Walter Carr’s vehicle broke down, he walked 20 miles to report for his first day as a Bellhops mover. The Bellhops team caught wind of this story and Carr’s extra-long commute via social media. When Bellhops’ CEO Luke Marklin responding by gifting Walter his personal car, the story took off nationally. Most major broadcast and cable news TV channels featured the Walter Carr story, as did more than 2,000 online articles worldwide.

Whether managing an overnight sensation viewed around the world or handling the daily communication activities for one of the fastest growing tech companies in the country, Kyle Miller and his team run brand marketing and communications for Bellhops. Headquartered right here in Chattanooga, Bellhops aims to transform the experience of moving through technology and quality customer service.

Since 2017, Kyle has been at the communications helm of the Bellhops brand. He and Bellhops Content Marketing Manager Sarah Marshall will share examples, best practices and advice on handling national stories – both good and bad. He’ll discuss what goes into preparing and what will happen when the storm hits.
