Event description

Description

We would hereby like to invite you to Berlin 12 June 2018 for our

- “Berlin Green Investment Summit” between 09h and 13h

and the

- “Green Gateway Fund 2 Presentation” between 14h30 and 18h

During the Berlin Green Investment Summit we will hear from family offices, large institutional investors, faith-based and public investors, scientists and policymakers how to enhance your risk-return profile with a positive impact on the environment, by “decarbonizing” your portfolio. Past speakers included Valerie Rockefeller, Trustee of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Peter Damgaard Jensen, CEO of the €30bn Danish pension fund PKA and chair of the €21tr Institutional Investor Group on Climate Change, Rev. Fletcher Harper, Executive Director of GreenFaith, Professor Ottmar Edenhofer of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Secretary of State charged with “energy- and transport transition”, Dr Rainer Baake, as well as members of the German and European parliament. In 2018 we expect to hear among others from representatives of the German Government’s new “Energy Transition Fund” which has been endowed with Euro 24bn to be invested in a sustainable fashion with a 100 year investment horizon.

During our Green Gateway Fund 2 Presentation, we will be presenting to you the strategy of our Green Gateway Fund 2 (“GGF2”), including current and potential portfolio companies. GGF2 invests in EU early-growth-stage companies involved in the green industrial revolution, i.e. the IT-enabled energy- transport- and agrarian transitions towards sustainable business models. This way we continue to achieve both high financial returns and a positive impact on the environment. Yet, we need to move more hearts, minds and capital behind this investment case quickly to have the major impact we need to have to stop what is now referred to as “climate disruption”.

This is a personal invitation for qualified investors only. As in the past, we ask you to kindly contribute to the catering and other costs at a rate of Euro 200/ person + VAT.
