BERC Innovation Expo, Thurs., Oct. 10, 6-9:30pm, Cal Memorial Stadium VIP Lounge: The Innovation Expo is a showcase of pioneering energy and resources research and a networking reception. Graduate students from across the UC system will present their research for the chance to win thousands of dollars in prize money.
Innovation Expo is FREE to those with a UC Berkeley or LBNL ID. Others require a ticket. Expo-only tickets are available for industry professionals who will not attend the Symposium.
Energy Week Finale: BERC Symposium: California at the Energy Cross Roads, Fri., Oct. 11, 9am-5pm, Cal Memorial Stadium VIP Lounge and International House: Join keynote speakers Cheryl Martin (Director, ARPA-E) and Tom Steyer (Businessweek dubbed "Climate Change Batman") for the premier energy event at UC Berkeley: BERC Symposium! Key players from the research, business, policy and economics communities converge on Berkeley’s campus to explore innovative ideas and provide a platform for vibrant discussion among hundreds of attendees. Panel discussions will address a wide range of issues:
•Policy and lessons learned from other markets
•The current state of cleantech finance
•California’s ideal electricity generation mix
•Behavior change – inspiring people to take action on climate change
•California’s cap and trade program – reflections one year in
All Symposium attendees require a ticket. Students can earn a free ticket by volunteering. Researchers and companies who present at Innovation Expo are also eligible for complimentary Symposium tickets.
