BERC Cleanweb Hackathon 3.0: Data-drive solutions for resource problems
Friday Oct 23 5pm until Saturday Oct 24 9pm
Calling all scientists, software engineers, policy makers, designers, and entrepreneurs: please join us for the 3rd annual BERC Cleanweb Hackathon! The goal of the hackathon is to address a resource problem (energy, land, or water) using visualizations or software. Food and beverage will be provided by BERC.
To be hosted at the Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS), a new amazing collaborative working space located in the beautiful Doe Library on UC Berkeley's campus. Note that the event will be at BIDS on Friday night and Saturday 9am-5pm, but we will move to Blum Center B100 at 5pm on Saturday for the final four hours.
Prizes:
$1000: best visualization to support policy and action; $1000: best software addressing barriers to progress; $500: people's choice!
