About this Event

[UPDATE 10/15/19]

We are delighted to announce that our lunchtime speaker lineup has been confirmed. Whether you register for the employer session or the service provider session, you'll have the opportunity to hear success stories from four organizations around the region during the lunch hour. We are grateful for their time, and we are proud to welcome:

  • Bill Camarda, Deputy Executive Director, Bennington Rescue Squad
  • Kevin Dailey, VP of Human Resources, Southwestern Vermont Health Care
  • Jessica Fredette, Director of Human Resources, Mack Molding
  • Nicole Stetson, CCV Associate Academic Dean and Start Up 802 Program Liaison

Ongoing demographic challenges have produced a consistent decline in the number of Vermonters in our workforce. As a result, Governor Phil Scott and his administration have made workforce development a priority. The Regional Development Corporations (RDCs) of Vermont, in Partnership with Vermont Department of Labor, will be hosting 12 Regional Workforce Summits.

The Bennington County Industrial Corporation, the RDC for southwestern Vermont, is sponsoring the Bennington County Workforce Summit. The event will take place on October 24 at the Bennington Museum.

The Summits are intended to provide actionable solutions for employers, improve awareness of available resources, and foster innovative collaborations. Invitations to the summit have been extended to employers and service providers alike, with time set aside for interactions between the two groups over lunch.
