Benefitting from Beneficial Insects
Sun, May 7, 2017, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM PDT
Did you know that only 1% of the insects in your garden are causing damage to your plants? The majority of insects are busy pollinating your flowers or preying on plant-eating insects. Learn how to create a habitat that welcomes the beneficial insects found in a typical garden, keep them in the garden and avoid gardening practices that cause them harm. We will get some close-up looks at different beneficial friends and spend time outdoors on a flower identification and insect tour.
This class will have an outdoor, hands-on component. Tools and materials will be provided. Please dress for the weather and be ready to get your hands dirty!
