Benefit for Renewed & Album Release of "Hungry For Hope"
THURSDAY OCTOBER 27 at 7:30pm Admission for the concert is free! Family-friendly (better suited for middle-school aged and above)
I'm excited to announce my album release of Hungry For Hope! World Music Nashville has kindly sponsored this event. Proceeds will benefit Renewed, a local nonprofit who has provided community outreach in the Nashville area for eating disorder recovery since 1999.
Hungry For Hope is a collection of songs inspired by my journey of recovering from an eating disorder. I’ve included songs that tell parts of my own story as well as the stories of many brave women and men whom I’ve met along the recovery path.
Chances are good that you know someone who is struggling with this problem. Recent studies suggest that 20 million women and 10 million men in the U.S. have clinically significant eating disorders, and that the rates of eating disorders among women over the age of fifty are on the rise. Please join me for an evening of stories & songs inspired by recovery. We'll also have a short presentation from a representative of Renewed about the many fantastic resources they offer. Admission for the concert is free. A love offering of $10 or more to support Renewed is greatly appreciated!
We'll have light refreshements and orginial artwork from local artist, Pamela Cisneros. There will be free samples and empowering information about safer beauty from Marie McGilvray and Beautycounter. This is a family friendly event but may be better suited for children who are middle-school age or above.
