Event description

Description

Harvard Chan students and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Student Group are hosting a benefit to raise funds for Moms Against Poverty, a non-profit providing direct relief for communities in Iran affected by the devastating earthquake that occurred on November 12, 2017.

The event will be a celebration of Shabe Yalda, an Iranian festival recognizing the winter solstice, and will include Iranian food from a local restaurant and performance by Aftab Dance Group. We will also be raffling off two gift cards to Iranian-owned, KooKoo Cafe.

All proceeds will benefit communities affected by the earthquake. Our co-sponsors include the Office for Student Affairs at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Iranian Alliances Across Borders (IAAB).

If you have any questions, please contact Darya at dminovi@hsph.harvard.edu.
