DONATE ABOVE to vote for Ben for Mr. Marina!

On Wednesday, March 20th, the who's-who of San Francisco's Marina District will take the stage to compete for the title of Mr. Marina 2013. Support Ben in his efforts to raise $10,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!

Born and raised in the suburbs of Long Island, New York, Ben was groomed from an early age to become Mr. Marina. Universally known as a charismatic gentleman and a scholar, Ben is also a decorated athlete; He is recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records in Badminton, which is widely considered the premier country club sport of the Northeast. We couldn't make this up if we tried.

Not long after presenting his High School's valedictory address to a crowd of 6,000 while wearing a neon Speedo®, Ben relocated to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California on a full tuition grant. It was during his tenure at USC that Ben first discovered the allure of the Marina and the infamous "Triangle Bars." After short stints in both New York and Los Angeles post graduation, it's no surprise Ben has finally settled down in the 94123.

An entrepreneur at heart, Ben has successfully launched multiple businesses including a promotional marketing agency. His most recent endeavor is a charity dog-walking service, which he uses to win the affections of women at Fort Mason. He currently works as a solutions engineer at Google.

When he is not enjoying a manly tandem bike ride along Crissy Field, racing his motorcycle in Sonoma, or mastering the fine art of avocado selection at the Dateway, you can find Ben baking protein cheesecakes and working out at Crunch on Union. But sorry ladies, Ben will have to pass on bottomless mimosas since he dedicates his Sundays to his little brother from Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area.

What is Mr. Marina?

On Wednesday, March 20th, the who's-who of San Francisco's Marina District will take the stage to compete for the title of Mr. Marina 2013.

We’re searching for the male specimen who most embodies the spirit of San Francisco’s Marina District: social, fun-loving, generous, manly… and it doesn’t hurt if he enjoys wearing pastel colors from time to time.

At the main event, there will be a panel of judges who score contestants based on 3 categories:

  • Swimwear
  • Talent Portion
  • "Marina-wear" Question & Answer

How can I help Ben win?

Fundraising success will also be weighed within the score; each contestant will fundraise for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in order to participate.  Every dollar you donate is a vote for Ben for Mr. Marina!

You can also purchase tickets to Mr. Marina 2013 in support of Ben Hartard HERE.

We will be giving incentive prizes to everyone who donates $20 or more!

Remember to purchase your Mr. Marina tickets before they sell out!
