Event description

Description

The governments of the EU countries bordering the Baltic Sea are currently considering options to support the development of offshore wind in the region through work on the Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan (BEMIP). As part of this work, they have commissioned a study to look at, among other things, the potential of offshore wind in the Baltic Sea and the barriers to its development. This study will also develop a proposed workplan, as part of BEMIP, to support offshore wind development in the Baltic Sea.

The results of the study will be made public at this event and stakeholders invited to comment on proposals for a future roadmap and workplan. Representatives of the Member States’ governments will also be in attendance. This event therefore represents a critical opportunity for interested parties to influence policy efforts to support offshore wind in the Baltic Sea and we hope those with an interest will attend.

Space at the venue is limited and will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
