About this Event

Join Emmy Award winning pianist / composer Earl Rose for a special Valentine’s concert from New York’s legendary Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel. Earl will be performing timeless classic love songs as well as his original songs recorded by such artists as Olivia-Newton John, Johnny Mathis and Brian McKnight.

Earl’s unique arrangements will give viewers a romantic concert experience to enjoy at home while celebrating the holiday.

About Earl Rose:

Since the fall of 1994, the Emmy winning pianist/composer Earl Rose has performed a weekly residency as pianist at Bemelmans Bar in The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York City. His affinity for performing songs from the Great American Songbook remain one of his life’s greatest passions. “The sophistication of American Standards by composers such as George Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Rodgers and Hart and Cole Porter allows me to constantly reinterpret their classic songs year-after-year so they can be heard in evolving ways, for both aficionados and new audiences alike,” says Rose. “However, I also enjoy playing more contemporary music as well from artists such as Coldplay and Paul McCartney,” adds Rose.

Rose is currently featured playing one of his original compositions in Sofia Coppola's film, On The Rocks, starring Bill Murray and Rashida Jones and also appears and plays in the recent HBO Max series, Love Life, starring Anna Kendrick. Both scenes are set in Bemelmans Bar.

As a composer, he has received numerous awards for his music, including an Emmy Award and 13 nominations. He has composed several well-known and best selling pop and R&B songs recorded by such artists as Johnny Mathis, Olivia-Newton John, and Brian McKnight.

Rose's film scores include Always At The Carlyle, Johnny Carson: King of Late Night, a PBS American Masters presentation and the Peabody Winning documentary, Inventing L.A.: The Chandlers and Their Times. His music has been heard in such TV shows the The West Wing, Sex and The City and Shameless. He was pianist for the A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All.

A link will be emailed to you at approximately 6:00 p.m. EST on the day of purchase and the video will be available to view until February 28th.
