Beltane Soundsphere Open Session

Welcome to the Beltane Soundsphere Summer season!Open sessions are a time to explore musical possibilities, experience a metaphysical connection through music, and to network with your creative community for projects and collaboration. All instruments provided by Soundsphere, but you may also bring your own.And by the way- it's Friday the 13th, so a special day indeed.

During the session be mindful and respectful of others and their experiences. Its a time for flow, trance and to leave ego aside in order to be present and engaged. We keep talking at a minimum, and keep sound flowing.

6:30pm set-up and socialise. Enjoy a hot cuppa and network with like-minded folk.

7pm Open session: There will be an array of instruments to explore, and new sounds to experiment with. Bring your own instruments as well.

9pm closing of session, but the space remains open until 9:30pm.

TICKETS are 0 - £5 / person. Pay what you can. If you can afford more, we are also accepting donations!Proceeds go to shared instrument repair and maintaining the Soundsphere space.

How to get there: Best to use the Tram. Runs every 10 mins. TRAM STOP is Edinburgh Park Central, on the back step of our building! Exit tram to the left, walk over the footbridge, and we are the first building on the right.Address is 7 Lochside Avenue.

Drivers: The actual parking lot has been blocked off, but there is room for 4 cars to park in the mouth of the driveway in front of the barriers off of Lochside Avenue.Nearby public parking garage here:https://www.apcoa.co.uk/parking-in/edinburgh/edinburgh-park/ There is a fee to park but it is very affordable. In any case, you must walk a few minutes up to the entrance. It is a wheelchair accessible building with a key-card lift. Studio is located on the 2nd floor. External door is propped open, Ring the intercom for the lift - we will come down to get you with the key card, or just come up the stairs from the lobby.Photo Credit: Violette Rose
