About this event
A curated recital of chamber music by Asian composers in celebration of Asian-American/Pacific Heritage month. Presented free to the public by Fort Worth Opera & Kimbell Art Museum.
"We live in a diverse metropolitan area with a wide collection of cultures and ethnicities, but we often lose connection to the authenticity of these cultures because they are so far removed from ‘home’. In this program, we hope to enrich the community by providing unique connections to cultures that some audiences might not even realize they had because they have been far from home for so long. We will explore the themes of belonging, childhood, dreams, and homeland as well as cultural bridges that interlace western and eastern history through music and poetry." - Esme Wong
