Belonging: a Samhain Circle of Ancestral Honouring

As the days grow shorter and the veil thins, we enter the sacred time of Samhain, the Celtic New Year. This was a sacred time for many of our pre-colonial ancestors, celebrated in different ways across many cultures, and honoring their traditions and practices allow us to connect with our roots and walk on these territories in a gentler way.

This will be an evening of community, gathering together in circle to introduce ourselves and our lineages, connect with our well-seated ancestors and guides, and move through a process of expressive arts and animist journey work to create offerings and honourings for our loved ones who have passed.

This event is Queer led, Neuro-affirming and fully inclusive to folks of all gender expressions, identities, abilities and cultural backgrounds. If you don't know your ancestry, that's ok! We will bring curiosity and explore together. 10% of all proceeds will go directly to the Gidimt'en land defenders and their protection of the Yintah, the traditional territories of the Wet'suwet'en Nation that is currently under threat from fossil fuel companies (www.yintahaccess.com).
