Event description

Description

Bellwether Housing invites you to join us for our 7th Annual Closer to Home Benefit Breakfast for an uplifting morning of learning about the innovative ways that Bellwether Housing is making opportunity accessible by creating and managing affordable housing in the Puget Sound region. Brooke Gladstone, editor and co-host of WNYC's On the Media, will deliver a keynote address highlighting On the Media's recent series Busted: America's Poverty Myths. The podcast series explores the barriers poor Americans face in exiting poverty and how misconceptions about the causes of poverty only further deepens it for too many Americans.

The event begins at 7:30 am with registration and a networking reception followed by the program over a delicious breakfast from 8:00 am - 9:00 am. There is no cost to attend the event. Guests are given the opportunity to make a suggested minimum donation of $250 to support Bellwether Housing. Businesses and organizations can sponsor tables of up to ten people, and individuals and small groups are welcome to attend as well.

Learn more about sponsorship opportunities here.

We thank our keynote sponsor, US Bank, for their support.
