Come join us in The Big Easy for a weekend of fun filled with books, laughter, photos, and a good time with some of your favorite authors.
The Friday author/reader panel discussion and social will take place from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The signing will take place on Saturday, February 24th, 2018. VIP Admission is from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. General Admission starts at 1:00 PM and ends at 5:00 PM. The after party will start Saturday night at 8:00 PM and end at 11:00 PM.
These events are for those 18 years and older, no exceptions.
EARLY BIRD Ticket packages will go on sale Monday, March 20th, 2017 at 6:00 PM CST and end on May 18th, 2017 at 11:30 PM CST.
REGULAR TICKET packages and GENERAL ADMISSION tickets will go on sale at 11:00 AM CST Friday, May 19th, 2017. Regular ticket package sales will end on February 23rd, 2018 at 6:00 PM CST. General Admission tickets will remain on sale until 4:00 PM on February 24th, 2018 but will NOT be sold at the door. You must purchase your tickets online before you register to enter the event.
The only difference in Early Bird and Regular Ticket packages is the pricing. If you purchase your ticket early, you save money. If you don't purchase your ticket early, you pay full price.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes. All persons must have a valid ID and be 18 or older to attend unless given special permission by event organizers. Please do not bring toddlers or children to the event. NO Exceptions. Proper ID is required to pick up your badges at the hotel. Badges are required for entry into all of the events on Friday and Saturday unless you are purchasing a General Admission ticket only. Proper ID is required for anyone trying to purchase drinks at the bar on Friday and Saturday evening.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
We recommend using an uber for the cheapest prices but taxis are available. Valet parking will be available at the hotel for anyone coming to the event on Friday and/or Saturday. There are also various parking lots and parking garages in the french quarter and downtown that are within walking distance to the hotel.
What can I bring into the event?
You may bring a maximum of 5 books and 3 personal items per author to sign at one time. If you have more than 5 books or 3 personal items that you would like signed by an attending author, you may get back in line for that author at a later time. This allows for everyone to have the same chance at meeting all of the authors. You can bring books, iPad/Kindle/Nook cases, and items from home, or purchase them from the authors at the signing. You may also leave the signing and come back as long as you have your wristband on. The 8 items from home rule does not apply to any pre orders or to any books that you purchase from authors the day of the signing.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can e-mail us at email@example.com with any questions you may have. Messages sent to us on facebook or Instagram may not be answered as quickly. Because our event has grown, it is harder to respond in a timely manner to messages that are personally sent through social media, especially because some messages can be sent to the "other" folder that we don't always remember to check.
What's the refund policy?
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY!
Refunds are permitted with the following policy:
Cancellations for ticket packages before 07/01/2017 will receive a full refund minus a $25.00 processing fee.
Cancellations for ticket packages after 7/01/2017 but BEFORE 11/23/2017 will receive a 75% refund minus a $25.00 processing fee.
Cancellations after 11/23/2017: NO REFUND
General Admission tickets are NON REFUNDABLE but may be transferred.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You do not have to bring your printed ticket to the event, but you do have to have a copy of the ticket on your phone via e-mail if you choose not to bring a paper copy. Please purchase the ticket package that includes the events you want to attend. You will only be permitted to attend the events that are included with the ticket package you purchase.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to update your contact and/or registration information.
Is my ticket transferrable?
Yes. Tickets may be transferred. Please e-mail your name and paypal e-mail address along with the name and e-mail address of the person you are selling/transferring your tickets to, the number of tickets you are transferring, and the type of ticket purchased/transferred to email@example.com so that we can switch your information. Tickets must be transferred no later than 2/23/2018 at 11:00 AM CST. If your tickets are not transferred by this date, your tickets will not be valid for entry into the signing or any events on Friday or Saturday unless you are the original ticket purchaser.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes. As long as you and the person/persons you purchased tickets for have a valid ID, this is fine. For example, if you purchased tickets under your husband's paypal name and e-mail, you just need your ticket and a valid ID. Anyone that you purchased tickets for must check in with you at registration and have a valid ID as well. If you purchased the tickets for someone else but are not attending yourself, please contact us so that we can get the correct information switched over.
