Event description

Description

Our minds constantly buzz with endless tasks, worries, and responsibilities. With these demands on our time and attention, we can find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and exhausted. How much of the time are you truly present? Learn how the practice of mindfulness can benefit your well-being and support you in being a present, connected parent. This session will introduce you to the research supporting the benefits of mindfulness practice as well as give you an opportunity to experience the practice for yourself.

Ann Brand, Ph.D. is a Lecturer in the School of Education at The University of Wisconsin-Stout and Program Specialist for Mindfulness Training for Arts Integration Menomonie. She holds a doctorate in psychology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with an emphasis on child development and families. Ann is an accredited mindfulness teacher through The Mindfulness Training Institute. Please RSVP by December 1.
