Being Human: Human Rights & Self Directed Support

C-Change Scotland is hosting a short conference on human rights and self-directed support, from 1.30 – 4.30 pm on Thursday 15th June 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow. It is specifically targeted at practitioners and decision makers in the health and social care sector, as well as anyone interested in the political and academic aspects of this subject. C-Change Scotland is a registered charity committed to supporting real, positive change in the lives of individuals and families with support needs.

The afternoon will offer the opportunity to hear from some of the UK’s leading figures in this field, including Rob Greig, CEO of NDTI and former National Director for Learning Disability for the Scottish Government; Cathy Asante of the Scottish Human Rights Commission; Tom Cowan of Aberdeen Health & Social Care Partnership and Andrew Strong of Alliance Scotland. Our keynote speaker is someone who himself spent 37 years in residential care. Sandy is a hard-hitting speaker with directly relevant experience of having his freedom curtailed.

Attendance costs £30 Tea and coffee will be provided

We look forward to seeing you at the conference!
