Event description

Description

Women face extraordinary levels of harassment on the internet. As we all continue to live more of our lives online – personally and professionally – it's necessary to understand the reality of online harassment and how it disproportionately impacts women and people of color. This session will also address strategies for women and allies on how to manage the challenges of online harassment.

Learn from Seattle University Communication Professor Dr. Caitlin Carlson, KIRO 7 reporter Amy Clancy, and host of KUOW podcast "Battle Tactics for Your Sexist Workplace" Eula Scott Bynoe on their experiences and strategies to overcome online harassment.

The discussion will be moderated by Ruchika Tulshyan, Communication Professional-in-Residence. Heavy appetizers will be served.

Hosted in BANNAN 102.
