Event Details

On behalf of survivors of domestic violence, the GFWC Spring Station Woman's Club will be hosting the "Behind the Mask: Masquerade", our 5th Annual Amethyst Affair - Art. Auction, & Awareness fundraiser, on Saturday, February 9th, 2019.

The fundraiser for the Center of Hope and Bridges Domestic Violence Shelters will be a semi-formal/formal masquerade event full of food, fun, live and silent auctions, music and dancing, with activities focused on raising awareness and shedding the secrecy about the life altering effects of domestic violence on its victims.  There are many aspects to domestic violence, and the pain is often hidden among the many masks that victims wear to hide the emotional and physical turmoil they experience.

We're excited to offer an updated ticketing experience again this year to allow you to pick your seats by clicking on the seat map!  Get with your friends and reserve a table!!

Here are EASY directions:

1.  Go to the green area that says "get seats". It will take a few momenst for that part of the page to open up.  Eventbrite will have a little graphic in the middle where it says it's opening up. Just click "got it".

 2.  You will have to enlarge the chart-there is a slide on the left or you can use your mouse.  General admission seats are orange.  Purchased seats are gray.

3.  Select your table and seats and then follow the directions to pay.

If you prefer to pay by cash or check, please email the club and we will enter ticket/seat information manually upon receipt of the funds.  The club email is gfwcspringstation@gmail.com.

    GFWC Spring Station Woman's Club

The GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club is a proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs(GFWC).  We are a nonprofit organization with a mission to enhance our community and world through volunteer service.  GFWC unites women of all ages, interests and experiences, who want to be a member of a dynamic and committed community service organization. It is open to anyone looking for friendship, fun and fulfillment through club activities. We meet in the lower level of the Winchester Community Building (563 Maury Hill Street behind Spring Hill Elementary School) on the first Monday of each month (unless it falls on a national holiday, then it will be in an alternative location, usually a nearby restaurant) from 6:30-8:00 pm. Dues are only $40.00 per year.

Our national emphasis project is Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention, so we work closely with two area shelters: the Center of Hope and Bridges. We also work in several community service areas including the Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Outreach, Public Issues, and Advocates for Children. Some of our many local projects include the trees giveaway for Arbor Day, donation to CASA, Fill the Van with School Supplies Drive, annual "Living the Volunteer Spirit" Community Service Awards, youth writing competition, Amethyst Affair fundraiser, donation of sidewalk chalk for Spring Hill Art Walk, contributions to Project Heifer, organizing monthly community CPR classes, and many more.

All prospective members are invited to attend a club meeting-we look forward to seeing you there!
